Merseyside Police has taken action this weekend after it uncovered a party taking place in Halewood. The police attended a property on Hollies Road in Halewood on Friday 15 January at 2.20am following reports of a disturbance.

A 19 year-old man was arrested for assaulting an emergency worker and possession of a Class A drug. He has been given an adult conditional caution.

In addition, five people who were present within the property were also issued with Covid fines.

Knowsley Community Policing Inspector Peter Rexwinkel said: “Officers attending the property quickly identified a number of issues and took the appropriate action to arrest one of the individuals. It was also clear however that COVID rules were not being followed and therefore additional fixed penalty notices were also given to those in attendance.

“We know that rates of Coronavirus in the Knowsley area are at very high level and it is important that we do all that we can to reduce the numbers and keep people safe.”
