A Northwood charity has received a £1,000 donation from Amazon in Knowsley.

Northwood Community Centre Association exists to bring together members of the Northwood community. The charity oversees the running of Northwood Community Centre, which facilitates activities and training for several local organisations, including an onsite nursery.

The donation will go towards a weekly social group at the centre for pensioners, where the group get involved in ‘knit and nattering’ followed by lunch and a game of bingo.

Christian Stewart, Site Leader at Amazon’s Knowsley fulfilment centre, said: “Our team is proud to be supporting Northwood Community Centre Association, an organisation that has an integral impact on the Northwood community.”

Jacqueline Deboe, CEO at Northwood Community Centre Association, added: “I would like to thank Christian and all at Amazon in Knowsley for this donation. This support will help us as we keep the people in our community at the heart of all we do.”
