NHS urge patients ‘help us help you’ get the treatment you need

by Jonathan Kearney

Knowsley residents are being encouraged to keep accessing urgent medical help should they require it at this time.

The NHS ‘Help us help you’ campaign is reminding patients they can still access medical services, despite the coronavirus pandemic.

If you need medical help from your GP practice, you can contact them either online, by an app or over the phone for an assessment.

If you need urgent medical help, use the NHS 111 online service. If you cannot get help online, call 111. If it’s a serious or life-threatening emergency, call 999.

You should continue to attend your appointments, unless you have been told not to attend and if you have been told to go to hospital it is important you do so.

If you have symptoms of coronavirus you should arrange a test at nhs.uk/coronavirus
