A Knowsley company specialising in renewables, heating and insulation have once again stepped in to provide support to two local schools.

Next Energy who are based on Knowsley Business Park have donated more than £12,000 to Malvern Primary and Roby Park Primary School, both in Huyton.

Malvern received £6,000 to put on their annual community festival Malfest, giving local families a fun day out with music, food and attractions. The donation means that all money raised through ticket sales at the event go back into the school fund.

This isn’t the first time Next Energy have supported both schools, as last year they also made donations to both Malvern and Roby Park for their family Christmas events whilst also offering further support to both schools and associated families in other ways as needed.

Cllr Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council said: “As families continue to feel the pinch, this is such a generous gesture from Next Energy and I know it is appreciated by the schools, the pupils and their families.

“It’s wonderful to see this partnership between schools and businesses and Next Energy are a shining example of the lasting and significant impact that the private sector can have in our communities.”

Lee McNally, Co-founder of Next Energy said: “We have found our partnerships with Malvern and Roby Park schools to be really productive and we are always ready to hear what help and support they need from us for the pupils and the wider community.

“We do have personal connections to both schools, I myself attended Malvern Primary School and my wife Yazmin attended Roby Park Primary School and we are now lucky enough to be in a position where we can offer our support and give back to these schools when and where we can.

“Social Value is a cornerstone of our organisation, to give back to the communities in which we have grown up in and continue to work into this day, is key to the values of our business. We know that families have found it tough in recent years, so to be able to ease that burden in any way we can is hugely rewarding for us.”
