Work is due to commence on Monday 3 August 2026 on highways improvements in Halewood.
The works include the installation of new traffic signals and crossing on Leathers Lane, opposite Halewood Retail Park, as well as footpaths and cycleways renewed and resurfacing works on Leathers Lane between Roseheath Drive and Wood Road.
These works will enhance safety for road users, with the traffic signals particularly helping pedestrians and cyclists to cross Leathers Lane safely, as well as upgrading road and footpath surfaces for the benefit of all users including disabled groups.
The works are due to be completed within ten weeks.
There will be a limited number of road closures in place in October to facilitate safe resurfacing and road marking of the Leathers Lane carriageway and diversions will be clearly signposted in advance.
