Calkerris Tea Rooms opened on Eccleston Street, in Prescot town centre, last month.
The tea rooms is run by The ARC Activity and Education Centre in Prescot and is named in the memory of ARC members Callam and Kerri.
Callam was the son of the ARC CEO, Andrea Evans and his friend Kerri, sadly gained their angel wings a year apart.
Andrea commented: “Our vision was to create a beautiful vintage tea shop named in honour of my son Callam and his friend Kerri. It has been an amazing team effort, and the staff and members have all been involved in its making. Come and join us for coffee, cake and conversation!”
Cllr Tony Brennan, Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Regenreation and Economic Development said: “Calkerris Tea Rooms is a wonderful addition to Eccleston Street, bringing a unique, independent offer right to the heart of our vibrant town centre. What makes this venture truly special is the heartfelt mission behind it, serving as a lasting and warm tribute to Callam and Kerri. Calkerris is open Monday – Saturday, 10am-2pm at 21 Eccleston Street, Prescot.
The ARC Activity & Education Centre CIC aims to enhance the lives of individuals with disabilities by offering coproduced, tailored education and a diverse range of activities that foster independence and personal growth.
