New postcode checker launched to track local COVID Alert Level

by Jonathan Kearney

A new postcode checker has been launched which shows you the coronavirus alert level where you are and which restriction are in place.

The postcode checker enables people to quickly find out the COVID Alert Level in the areas they live, work and visit.

The Government recently introduced three alert levels: medium, high and very high; to establish which restrictions are in place across the country.

Knowsley is currently in the ‘very high’ category, due to the number of coronavirus cases in the region.

This includes the closure of pubs, bars, gyms, leisure centres, betting shops and casinos. Knowsley residents currently must not meet with friends and family in any indoor setting, unless they are a member of your household or support bubble.

Meeting with people outside of your household or support bubble in a private garden is also restricted.

Knowsley residents are currently advised not to travel outside the City Region except for things like work, education, food or medical supplies.

You should continue to adhere to social distancing, maintain good hand hygiene and wear a face covering where required.

The full list of restrictions that affect Knowsley can be found here and on the Government’s website.
