New Merseyside Adult Safeguarding website launched

by Laura Johnston

A new website, bringing together safeguarding agencies across Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral, has been launched.  The Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board website outlines how agencies will work together to ensure that adults are able to live in safety and free from abuse and neglect.

The four local authorities have come together to form the Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board to pool resources and expertise as well as achieve more effective and personalised safeguarding.

The Board leads on adult safeguarding arrangements and oversees and co-ordinates the effectiveness of safeguarding work across the four local authority areas.

The new website is a tool for both practitioners and the public and includes a range of advice including what to do if you have concerns about an adult, how adults are safeguarding, the different types of abuse to look out for and the make-up of the Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board.

Further information is available on the Merseyside Safeguarding Adults Board website.
