New Coffee House to open its doors in Huyton

by KMBC

Work is underway to transform two empty shop units on Derby Road in Huyton into a new Coffee House.

The premises on Derby Road will be The Coffee House’s fifth premises and they already run successful businesses in Lymm, Partington, Sale and Widnes.

As well as serving a range of beverages, The Coffee House offers an extensive breakfast menu as well as paninis, wraps, sandwiches, jacket potatoes and salads.

The units, totaling 1700 sq ft, are currently undergoing a complete transformation and The Coffee House is due to open later this year in the summer.

Chris Skelmerdine from the Coffee House said

“The Coffee House, no matter where we have landed, has always been about offering something different to the local community, an experience entirely different from the usual branded coffee shops. We set out to change the way people eat, drink and relax and we feel this will be no exception in Huyton.”

“With the help of Knowsley Council, we will be transforming two available units in the centre of Derby Road – it will be a great place to meet with friends, family or colleagues alike.”

“There will be something for everyone. For the discerning coffee drinker, we will offer handcrafted blends, nothing like anything else on the high street. The food we offer comes directly from our kitchens, developed by us, for us, and not available anywhere else but in one of our stores. The same can be said about our fantastic range of homemade confectionaries. Using only the best ingredients, we produce products like our Indulgent Chocolate Brownie or Lemon Drizzle Slice.”

“We will be working hard to deliver this later this year and look forward to meeting our future customers in the early days of opening our doors.”

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, added

“I’m delighted to welcome The Coffee House to Huyton Village Centre offering greater choice for visitors and residents to Huyton. This also supports the work we are progressing to develop the village centre.  We’ve already installed CCTV cameras and a number of shop fronts will be transformed over the coming months on Derby Road with improvements to the public realm and lighting also planned.”
