New Change Grow Live Knowsley hub opens its doors in Newtown Gardens

by Jonathan Kearney

Change Grow Live Knowsley has announced the opening of a newly refurbished building at 24 Newtown Gardens, which will now be home to a wide range of support services for the local community in Kirkby.

Change Grow Live offer a wealth of advice and support services around drugs and alcohol as well as support to live a happier and healthier life.

Previously based on Lifton Road, the service has moved to a more modern, central and accessible location. The new Newtown Gardens hub has benefitted from significant investment and has been thoughtfully designed with the people who use the services in mind – offering a welcoming, inclusive space that’s easy to reach and open to all.

Inside, you’ll find improved private clinical rooms meeting spaces and a comfortable reception area where visitors can enjoy a hot drink and a chat with someone who understands. Many of the staff and volunteers have lived experience and know what it’s like to ask for help – they’re always here to listen and support without judgement.

The hub also offers:

  • Engage, a specialist service for young people
  • Open access times – you don’t need an appointment
  • One-to-one counselling and therapeutic support
  • IPS (Individual Placement and Support) helping people move forward with specialist support to find and stay in employment
  • Families and Carers support

The move is part of a commitment to making services more approachable, compassionate and person-centred. Whether you’re dropping in for support, advice, or just to connect with someone, the doors are open. Change Grow Live at Newtown Gardens is open from 8.30am until 5pm Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and from 9.30am until 3pm on Tuesday.
