More leisure facilities available for residents to use in Knowsley

by Nicola Appleton

As part of the phased reopening of leisure facilities across the Borough, residents can now have access to more leisure facilities.

From Monday 24 August, outdoor facilities available at the borough’s secondary schools will reopen. This includes the outdoor multi-use pitches which can be used for football, hockey, rugby and more!

Staff at Volair have taken steps to reopen safely by complying with Covid-19 secure guidance. This includes sessions need to be pre-booked in advance, cleaning in between sessions, participants to arrive “pitch ready” as changing facilities remain closed and spectators are discouraged from attending.

The facilities are located at:-

Lord Derby Academy, Seel Road, Huyton

All Saints Catholic High School, Roughwood Drive, Kirkby

Kirkby High School, Bracknell Avenue, Kirkby

St Edmund Arrowsmith Catholic High School, Cumber Lane, Whiston

The Prescot School, Knowsley Park Lane, Prescot

Facilities are available to book 7 days a week from 6pm until 9pm Monday to Friday and from 9am until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The pitches are also floodlit (with the exception of The Prescot School).

To check availability and to book a session, please call the Volair team on 0151 443 2200.
