Knowsley residents on a low income may be eligible for support with their water bill.
The United Utilities Back on Track scheme has been extended to support more customers financially affected by COVID-19.
Previously, customers had to be receiving benefits or tax credits to be accepted on to the Back on Track scheme.
Now customers with a household income under £21,000 are eligible for support.
Jane Haymes, Affordability Manager at United Utilities, said: “COVID-19 continues to impact many of our customers across the North West, making it difficult for them to pay their bills.
“We’ve therefore amended our existing Back on Track scheme so that customers whose income has been affected by COVID-19 can now apply if their household income is less than £21,000.
“We hope that the extension to the existing scheme is welcomed by money advisors across the North West who are trying to find help for people who are struggling financially due to COVID-19.”
More information about the Back on Track scheme can be found on the United Utilities website.
To apply, customers can either return the application form included in the pack or compete the online affordability form.
