The units will operate an appointment system from 11am until 4pm each day. Please note booking is essential – you will be turned away if you do not have an appointment.

Symptoms include a high temperature and / or a new persistent cough and now also anosmia – a loss or change in your normal sense of smell or taste.

People can register for a test at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus after checking their symptoms. You will be allocated the next available appointment at your nearest test centre, which may be one of the regional test sites (including Haydock Park Racecourse and Liverpool John Lennon Airport) or one of the mobile test sites which may be closer to home. If you are unable to get to one of the drive-through test centres, you can request a home testing kit (subject to availability). Details are available at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus.

Cllr Sean Donnelly, Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care, said: “These mobile testing units are a fantastic example of how partners across health and care are working together locally to respond to Covid-19. By providing more opportunities for people to be tested, we hope to identify those most at risk from Coronavirus and take the next steps to defeating the virus”.
