Cllr Ken McGlashan was re-appointed as Mayor of Knowsley at Knowsley Council’s Annual General Meeting on Friday 16 May 2025.
During 2024/2025, the Mayor and Mayoress, his daughter Anne McGlashan, raised £36,000 for local charities and good causes which were Northwest Air Ambulance, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and donation to be made for the roof fund at Prescot Parish Church.
The Mayor of Knowsley will continue to be supported by his daughter, Anne, as Mayoress of Knowsley in 2025/2026 and this year, he will be supporting Lyndale Cancer Support, North West Air Ambulance and Prescot District Girl Guides Association.
Cllr Ken McGlashan, Mayor of Knowsley, said “I’m delighted to be re-appointed as the Mayor of Knowsley and I’m incredibly proud that we have raised £36,000 for local charities and good causes this year.
“It’s been a honour to be out and about meeting so many people and local initiatives that are in place across Knowsley who are all doing amazing work for the benefit of their local community.
“I’m really looking forward to once again support our communities and their work as well as raising invaluable funds for my chosen charities and good causes.”
