The NHS is appealing for people to sign up to become regular blood or plasma donors in 2024 to continue to provide lifesaving treatments.
Donating blood and plasma is a simple way to help others. It only takes around one hour and can save up to 3 lives.
In particular, people aged 17 to 35 are urged to come forward to ensure there is the right volume of donors to give in the future.
More new donors mean more life-saving treatments are available to save more lives in the future.
Cllr Bannon, Knowsley Cabinet Member said:
“I’d urge everyone to consider donating, the blood you give is a lifeline in an emergency and for people who need long-term treatments. In fact, each blood donation can help to save or improve up to three lives!”
