Principal Transport Planning Officer

Salary is £45,091 – £46,142 per annum and the closing date is 9 October 2025

We are seeking a forward-thinking Transport Planning Officer to lead on transport planning, development control, and strategic infrastructure projects across Knowsley.  You will provide expert advice on planning applications, transport modelling, and sustainable travel initiatives, while supporting the delivery of Capital Delivery Schemes that enhance the borough’s transport network and highway safety.

Public Health Programme Manager

Salary is £54,703 – £60,044 per annum and the closing date is 12 October 2025

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Knowsley Council’s Public Health team as a Public Health Programme Manager, with a focus on the health of children, young people and families.

This new permanent post has been created with the aim of improving the health of children and young people who live in Knowsley, equipping them to thrive. You will join up working between the Council and system partners to deliver effective high-quality services and support for the borough’s children and young people. You will work with partners across the local health system to join up transformational and operational programmes which affect children’s health, with the aim of adding value and enhancing service delivery. You will influence initiatives and programmes being delivered across the borough to address inequalities in children’s health.

Principal Engineer (Drainage)

Salary is £42,839 to £44,075 per annum and the closing date is 12 October 2025

We are seeing a Principal Drainage Engineer/LLFA Officer to lead Knowsley Council’s flood risk and drainage advisory work.  You will provide technical expertise on planning applications, oversee the delivery of sustainable drainage improvements, and act as the Council’s Lead Local Flood Authority representative.  The role requires strategic thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to engage with developers, regional partners, and the community to deliver resilient, adoptable drainage infrastructure.

Temporary Accommodation Contract and Strategy Officer

Salary is £42,839 to £44,075 per annum and the closing date is 13 October 2025

This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone looking to work in a fast-paced environment supporting the delivery of the Council’s temporary accommodation. If you have excellent written communication skills, can work under pressure whilst meeting varied deadlines and react to urgent situations, then we’d love to hear from you. Experience of budget management, delivering projects and property inspections are essential.
