Shield Team Manager
Salary range: £51,802 – £52,805 Permanent.
Are you experienced within therapeutic interventions/models and working alongside multi-agency partners in response to contextual safeguarding risk of exploitation. Are you passionate about improving outcomes for children and their families in the face of complex challenges? Can you bring about change in a collaborative way? If so, you may be the perfect candidate for this role.
Shield is an established child exploitation and missing service with ten years of proven impact in reducing missing and exploitation risk. Shield intervention is based upon a trusted relationship approach, utilising various trauma informed models of practice. Due to the successful outcomes demonstrated the team is now expanding with exciting developments in relation to supporting parents, harmful sexual behaviours, transitional support for care experienced, and incorporating lived experience.
This role will also directly be responsible for the line management of range of staff from assistant team manager through to child exploitation workers. The role will also have oversight of our commissioned interventions within the team.

Shield Experienced Social Worker
Salary range: £41,511 – £42,708. Permanent.

Do you have the skills and experience to deliver life-changing therapeutic parenting interventions that make a real difference? Do you enjoy working directly with families to empower them and build lasting resilience? If so, you may be the perfect candidate for this exciting opportunity to join the Shield Team as an Experienced Social Worker.
You should have a good understanding of child development, safeguarding, and the challenges families face when dealing with exploitation and other external harms. Strong communication, planning, and partnership working skills are essential, as is the ability to build trusted relationships with parents and carers. The primary focus will be delivering parenting support to families facing multiple and complex challenges. This is a key role in delivering targeted, coordinated interventions to parents, carers, and families with children and young people aged 0–25.

Shield Personal Advisor
Salary range: £31,067 – £32,654. Fixed Term for 15 months.
We are seeking a dedicated Personal Advisor to join the Shield Team, working directly with families and young people to prevent child exploitation, reduce harms, and support safer transitions into adulthood.
You will deliver intensive, relationship-based preventative and therapeutic support to families, children and young people aged 0–25. A key part of the role will involve supporting care-experienced young people and young adults as they transition into adulthood and face increased harms associated with exploitation.
