When the Knowsley Offer was being developed, we know that, more than ever before, our residents are keen to look after their own and their family’s health and wellbeing.
This doesn’t just mean accessing traditional health services but also support living a healthier lifestyle, such as getting more active, losing weight, or eating a more balanced diet.
Over 65% of participants in the Knowsley Offer development sessions stated that they would like to improve their and their family’s physical and mental health in the next five years.
Across Knowsley, there are range of providers, groups and organisations that can support you to look after your health.
The Heath section of The Knowsley Offer is an online resource of that brings together all of this information and support, including:
- Local NHS health services
- GPS
- Dentists
- Mental health services including urgent help, support for young people and support before, during and after pregnancy
- Public Health with support ‘starting well’ to ‘aging well’
- Self-care including support to quit smoking, drinking less, eating well and knowing your blood pressure
What is the Knowsley Offer:
The Knowsley Offer consultation was carried out over the Summer of 2022. The findings from the consultation have helped to develop the Knowsley Offer – an online resource of information, advice, help, support, services, facilities and much more that aims to help residents to thrive and not just survive.
The Knowsley Offer is made up of 10 chapters from Your Money, Children and Young People, Jobs and Training as well as Health, Support for Adults and how you can Get Involved in your local community.
