Letter to residents with important Coronavirus advice

by Gemma Melling

Residents aged over 70s years of age and those who are eligible for a free flu jab, will be receiving a letter over the coming days from Knowsley Council and Knowsley Clinical Commissioning Group with advice around support available during the current Coronavirus pandemic.

Residents who fall into this category have been advised by the Government to follow stringent advice around social distancing measures.

The letter outlines social distancing advice including working from home wherever possible, avoiding family gatherings and other face to face interaction with family and friends.

Advice around staying at home is also provided such as asking family and friends to pick up your shopping when they do theirs, keep in touch with others via phone or social media and keeping busy by cooking, reading or learning a new language.

Importantly, it also advises you that help and support is available to you during this difficult time if you require it.  You can call the Freephone helpline on 0800 073 0043 to ask for help with your shopping or if you need medication picking up.
