Knowsley Council is supporting the Oral Health Foundation to raise awareness of having good oral health and promoting the importance of a healthy smile.
National Smile Month is a great opportunity for residents to consider their oral health and how they can maintain a healthy smile.
This National Smith Month, the Oral Health Foundation and Knowsley Council are promoting four key messages:
- Brush teeth for two minutes, last thing at night and one other time during the day, with a family fluoride toothpaste
- Reduce the amount and number of times in the day that you have sugary foods and drinks
- Choose healthy snacks between meals e.g. fresh fruit and veg and switch to sugar free or diet drinks
- Visit a dentist at least once a year for a check up
