Knowsley’s multi-storey car parks to close during national lockdown

by Jonathan Kearney

Knowsley’s multi-storey car parks will close for the duration of the national lockdown period.

The two multi-storey facilities at Norwich Way, Kirkby and Lathom Road, Huyton are scheduled to reopen from Thursday 3 December.

The Huyton multi-storey has now closed and the Kirkby facility will close from the evening of Saturday 7 November.

The facilities previously closed during the first national lockdown period earlier in the year.

Alternative parking provisions, including long and short stay facilities, will remain open during this time. These include:

Huyton Hey (long stay)
Archway Road (short stay)

St Chad’s Clinic
Cherryfield Drive
Kirkby Market (short stay)

During the national lockdown period, which began on Thursday 5 November, all residents should remain at home wherever possible.

You should work from home if you are able to and not mix with people from other households.

All non-essential shops, leisure and hospitality venues will close during the four week lockdown period to help curb the spread of coronavirus.

The lockdown is scheduled to last until Wednesday 2 December.
