Knowsley Works supports local people into jobs

by Guy Murphy

The Council’s Knowsley Works team is supporting a new local business to recruit staff into a variety of posts including full and part time Barista team members and also Team Leader positions.

The Coffee House has expanded into Kirkby and will shortly be opening their fourteenth outlet and their second in Knowsley following the opening of their Huyton outlet in December 2019.

Knowsley Works has arranged for 57 local residents to attend a recruitment event in Kirkby later this week to find out more about the positions available.

Interviews and Barista training will follow for successful candidates and it is expected that approximately eight new jobs will be created at The Coffee House upon opening, and possibly more in the future.

The Coffee House is expected to open its doors over the coming weeks.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said “I’m delighted that our Knowsley Works Employment team has supported The Coffee House with their recruitment needs. The team offer a range of job and training support so if you’re a Knowsley resident looking for a job, wanting to make your next career move, looking for training opportunities or learning a new skill, contact the team today.”
