The Knowsley Works team has helped secure seasonal employment for over 30 Knowsley residents at Amazon Knowsley ahead of the festive period.
The team has helped simplify the competitive recruitment process for people seeking roles at Amazon, many of whom have previously struggled to find employment.
Having secured employment for 34 Knowsley residents and 4 Liverpool residents at the Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Kirkby, this year represents Knowsley Works’ most successful to date when it comes to securing seasonal Amazon employment for their customers.
Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “The seasonal roles at Amazon Knowsley are extremely popular, with vacancies filled in as little as five minutes from being advertised. The Knowsley Works team are able to simplify what can be a complex application process and speed up recruitment by assisting with the creation of accounts and the assessments. Once people are in employment the Knowsley Works team is also able to support with job retention and seeking positions in the future. A lot of people might get left behind in the job’s market without this support from Knowsley Works.”
