Knowsley QVC helps raise thousands for charity

by Laura Johnston

As part of their annual fundraising campaign, generous employees at QVC UK’s sites in Kirkby and London raised over £125,000 for deserving charities last year.

Throughout 2017, the employees raised an amazing £125,815.05 for local charities in Knowsley and London, and for Breast Cancer Care, QVC’s corporate charity. Staff got involved in a whole range of fun activities to fundraise such as selling tasty cakes and wearing fancy dress in work.

Staff at the Knowsley Contact Centre and Warehouse in Kirkby raised over £17,500 for Crohn’s and Colitis UK, over £18,900 for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice and over £17,500 for R Charity – a charity that supports Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen Hospitals.

The Knowsley staff also raised over £18,300 for Breast Cancer Care and with support from QVC’s London Head Office as well from QVC UK customers throughout the year, an impressive £340,000 has been raised in total. Through QVC UK’s 18-year partnership with Breast Cancer Care, over £6.4m has been raised for the charity which helps those who are affected with breast cancer to receive the right care, support and information they need.

On top of these great charity donations, over £190,200 has been donated to The Royal British Legion and Poppyscotland, thanks to the money raised from sales from QVC’s poppy collection.

Well done to everyone who helped raise money for these great charities.
