Knowsley panto a roaring success!

Over four days and seven shows, nearly 5,000 people enjoyed this year’s festive pantomime at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park – 3,000 of which were local school children.

From 2-5 December, Trio Entertainments staged Peter Pan, a swashbuckling pirate adventure which featured Eastenders’ and former Strictly Come Dancing star Ricky Groves as Captain Hook and Hollyoaks’ actress Jazmine Franks as Tinkerbell. The role of Peter Pan was played by rising music star, Daisy Gill, fresh from appearing on ITV’s ‘The Voice’ who wowed audiences with her amazing vocal performances.

Returning to Knowsley by popular demand were Connor Simkin, playing Captain Hook’s side-kick Smee, and Adam Thomas Monk as the fabulous pantomime dame, Mrs Smee, who had the crowd rolling in the aisles with their ‘odd-couple’ comedy routines.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods said: “We are delighted to have staged another successful pantomime at Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park and it’s incredible that 3,000 local school children were able to enjoy the show this year. What a great way to kick off the festive season in Knowsley.”
