Knowsley Community Fund Supports 30 community groups

by Lisa Bennett

Thirty community, faith and social enterprise organisations from across the borough have been allocated £135,434 from the 2026/2027 Knowsley Community Fund (winter allocation).

The grants of up to £5,000 will support residents with fuel and food poverty, reduce social isolation and improve health and wellbeing, as well as strengthening community resilience.

The Knowsley Community Fund, launched in June 2025, consolidated a number of previous grant programmes into a single, streamlined source of funding.

The funding allocations are aligned to specific local issues, which will be delivered between November 2026 and April 2027, and includes the provision of warm spaces, community activities, access to advice, food support and opportunities for social connection – all helping residents to stay safe, healthy and connected within their communities.

Knowsley Council Leader, Cllr Graham Morgan said:

“I’m delighted to be supporting 30 community, faith and social enterprise organisations, who are ensuring that the right support and services are being delivered within their community.

“They know their communities better than anyone and the Knowsley Community Fund is a crucial resource for tackling inequalities and making a real, positive difference in our residents’ lives.”
