Companies in Knowsley are getting involved in Manufacturing Week as part of the International Festival for Business 2016, taking place at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool.

Fantastic opportunity

The world’s top business event, IFB2016 is well underway and the eyes of the business world are firmly fixed on the Liverpool City Region and what it has to offer. With more than 30,000 delegates expected from the UK and 100 countries around the world, this is a fantastic opportunity right on Knowsley’s doorstep.

On the opening day of manufacturing week Alex Marshall, Group Marketing & Compliance Manager for Clarke Energy, joined an expert panel to discuss the company’s experience of exporting on a global stage. The company is also exhibiting their services throughout the week.


AbbeyLocal manufacturer The Abbey Group is also participating in IFB2016, exhibiting their goods and services on the thriving marketplace.

Showcasing Knowsley

Knowsley Council is hosting a Chinese delegation in Halewood, showcasing what Knowsley and the City Region has to offer as part of Manufacturing Week. The 50 delegates will arrive in Knowsley to hear success stories from Jaguar Land Rover, Sigmatex, Sensor City and Surface Transforms.

Knowsley Ambassadors are joining forces with Knowsley Chamber’s Manufacturing Network for a special IFB ‘Manufacturing Week’ inspired event.  Guests will hear from one of the region’s greatest success stories in this sector – Jaguar Land Rover and will highlight some specific Halewood achievements over the last few years.
