Young people aged 16 – 25 who are not in employment or training can join a course aimed at improving their skills, confidence and job prospects.
The Princes Trust Team Programme is a free 12 week course run by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service for young people from fire stations across Merseyside.
The programme, which includes a week-long residential stay, work experience, a community project and team building sessions, is designed to help young people:
– Develop key social and practical skills by problem solving and working with others
– Access career advice and improve job prospects
– Give something back by taking part in a community project
– Make new friends, boost confidence and self esteem
At the end of the programme, young people on the course will have benefited from careers advice, enhanced job search, CV and interview techniques and have a nationally recognised qualification.
