Internal Fit-out of Home Bargains under way in Kirkby

by Jonathan Kearney

Work is now well under way on the internal fit-out of the new and larger Home Bargains store on the retail development in Kirkby Town Centre.

Securing a prime position, the new Home Bargains store occupies a 25,600 feet2 site.

The store will stock all of your favourite items from toiletries, toys and medicines to pet supplies, homeware, seasonal goods, and food and drinks.

The new store is due to open early in the New Year.

Councillor Tony Brennan, Regeneration and Economic Development Cabinet Member, said: “In less than two years, and during the time of a global pandemic, the entire retail site has been transformed into a thriving retail development with KFC, Taco Bell, and a Morrisons petrol station already open.  The Morrisons superstore will follow shortly and then the new Home Bargains.

“The Council is also providing 460 car parking spaces with free parking for up to three hours for shoppers.

“I’m delighted to see our ambitious plans for Kirkby being delivered.

“And, of course, this is just the start – work will be commencing shortly on the new cinema scheme, complete with three food and drink outlets.”
