Improvements on the way for Littledale Meadow in Kirkby

by Cathy Sheel

A public consultation is underway asking residents for their views on proposals to bring improvements to Littledale Meadow, Kirkby.

The improvements could see the creation of a new all-weather path and entrance at the popular community open space in Shevington.  The consultation will include a survey and information distributed to neighbouring properties.

The Friends of Littledale Meadow have been working with Knowsley Council, ward members and local residents to identify improvements for the park, and the Littledale Meadow Improvement Plan reflects these ideas. The Friends will then apply for external funding to deliver the plan.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods said: ‘’Littledale Meadow is a local space which is well used by the community in the Shevington area of Kirkby. This is an exciting time for Littledale Meadow, so we would welcome everyone’s comments on the proposed improvements. Your feedback will also be used to shape future funding bids for this much-loved green space.”

Please take a few minutes to look at the Littledale Meadow Improvement Plan and complete the consultation survey. The closing date for comments is 26 March 2021.
