Huyton Village Centre welcomes Hays Travel

by Gemma Melling

Hays Travel has opened its doors in Huyton Village Centre and to celebrate, they are hosting a launch event which will run from Thursday, 9 January through to Monday, 13 January.

Following the collapse of Thomas Cook on 23 September 2019, John and Irene Hays stepped in to take over the store (one of 555 stores across the country).

Not only that, Hays Travel also employs the same staff so customers can expect the same customer experience.

Hayley Bates, Store Manager at Hays Travel, said: “I’m delighted that we’ve been able to continue to operate in Huyton Village Centre. We have an established customer base here and with all of the developments on-going in the Village Centre, I’m really pleased to be part of this.”

Hays Travel can take you to a range of holiday destinations, as well as providing lots of information and advice about where to go – from city breaks, beach holidays and long haul destinations.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “Our plans for Huyton Village Centre are progressing well and I’m delighted to welcome Hays Travel to the village centre. Their unit, located in the heart of the high street, has recently benefitted from our shop front improvement scheme. The council will continue to progress its plans for Huyton to be a vibrant and thriving centre.”

Call in to Hays Travel on Derby Road in Huyton Village Centre between 9.15am and 5.30pm on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday to support their launch event, which will include refreshments, goodie bags and prize draws.
