Helping residents to get online during Get Online Week

by Guy Murphy

Knowsley Council and partners will be on-hand to help residents to get online on Monday 20 October 2025 from 11.30am until 2.30pm at Huyton Library as part of Get Online week.

Get Online week runs from 20 to 24 October and aims to get as many people as possible online during the week.

Whether it’s help to create an email account, apply for a job, order a prescription, doing your weekly shop, managing your money online, there’s lots of free help and support available in Knowsley to get you connected.

This free, drop-in event will bring together key organisations to offer personalised assistance and information on a wide range of digital topics.

  • Knowsley Council’s dedicated Digital Team and Library Service: ready to answer questions, signpost residents to available digital offers within Knowsley, and provide practical support.
  • Knowsley Council’s Knowsley Works team: the team will be on-hand to help you search and apply for jobs and training opportunities.
  • NHS: offering guidance on accessing online health resources.
  • Merseyside Police: sharing essential tips on online safety and security.
  • Liverpool City Region Digital Network: raising awareness of how they can help residents across the city region make the most of the digital world.
  • Livv Housing Group: sharing online tips and online services available.
  • Include IT Mersey: A digital inclusion project helping to get people from across the Liverpool City region online and improve their digital skills.

“Whether residents are starting out and need support to get online, looking for new online resources, or simply curious about digital advancements, pop in to this free event to find out more.

“If you don’t have access to a phone, tablet, or PC at home, come along to your local library and use ours for free.”
