Can you help track down fly-tippers?

by Laura Johnston

Can you help identify offenders who fly-tipped waste in Huyton this week?

They dumped some distinctive children’s soft toys, a large cardboard box for a doll’s house, carpet and a crisp box on the car park area at Wood Lane, Huyton. The incident took place on Thursday, 4 January.

The fly-tipping has been marked with crime scene-type tape with the wording ‘Enviro Crime Scene – Fly-tipping under investigation’ to raise awareness of the fact that the council’s Environmental Enforcement Team is investigating the incident and appealing for evidence to help them prosecute the offenders.

If you have any information which could help track down the fly tippers, please ring Knowsley Council’s Environmental Health team on 0151 443 2503.

Incidents of fly-tipping can be reported online via the Knowsley Council website.

Fly-tippers face a prison sentence and an unlimited fine.
