Help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour 100% anonymously

by Jonathan Kearney

Information provided anonymously to Crimestoppers by Knowsley residents plays a key role in helping to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in our communities.

Crimestoppers is an independent charity that allows people to pass on what they know 100% anonymously.

Every year Crimestoppers receives thousands of pieces of valuable information from Merseyside residents, which leads to arrests, seizures of weapons and drugs and the safeguarding of vulnerable people.

Everyone who reports information to Crimestoppers remains 100% anonymous, providing a vital stream of information for Police in the fight against crime and anti-social behaviour.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods, said: “Information from the community is vital in helping to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. Every piece of information provided – even if it seems insignificant to the person at the time – can be vital in helping the Police build a picture of what is happening in an area. If you would prefer not to contact the Police directly you can provide information to Crimestoppers anonymously. They will never reveal the identity of someone who has contacted them by phone or email and the information you provide could have a significant impact on people’s lives and the wider community.”

Who to contact with information

In an emergency, or if you see a crime taking place, call the police on 999 or 101.

To pass on crime information completely anonymously, fill in a secure online form here: What is the crime or incident? | Crimestoppers or call Crimestoppers 24/7 UK Contact Centre on 0800 555 111.

Computer IP addresses are never traced, and no-one will ever know you contacted Crimestoppers. For telephone calls, there is no caller line display, no 1471 facility and calls have never been traced.
