Do you need help to give up smoking?

by Gemma Melling

Smokers in Knowsley are being encouraged to take the first step towards quitting for good as part of a 28 day campaign, starting on 1 October.

Research shows that if you stop smoking for 28 days you are five times more likely to quit for good.

If you would like to make a fresh start at quitting, you can contact the Knowsley Stop Smoking Service to discuss your needs with a specialist stop smoking advisor to set a quit date.

The specialist stop smoking service advisors will help you plan and cope with the challenges of quitting and you should remove cigarettes and tobacco from your home, car and work. You also will be encouraged to tell family and friends about your plan to quit so they can support and help you on your quit journey.
