Help Stop Fly-tipping!

by KMBC

Beware rogue rubbish removal operators

If you’re having a clear out in preparation for the holiday period, make sure anyone offering to take away your waste is authorised to do so. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Householders using private contractors to remove household, garden or construction waste must make sure the company or individual is a registered waste carrier. You could be fined up to £50,000 if you don’t.

To check if they are authorised to take your waste, you can visit the Environment Agency website.

Or why not visit one of Knowsley’s Household Recycling and Waste Centres?

Residents can dispose of their waste at Knowsley’s two Household Recycling and Waste Centres run by the Merseyside Recycling and Waste Authority at Wilson Road, Huyton and Depot Road, Kirkby.
