esidents are invited to come along to a ‘one stop shop’ for housing and healthy living advice at Stockbridge Village Library and Volair on Thursday, 4 December.
Knowsley Council’s Healthy Homes roadshow is aimed at supporting residents with practical advice and access to services that promote safer, healthier living environments.
The next roadshow will be on Thursday, 4 December at Stockbridge Village Library and Volair, The Withens, from 10am to 12 noon, and brings together local partners who offer support on housing, health, wellbeing, digital inclusion, and financial advice. The roadshows are informal, free to attend, and open to everyone.
Residents can enjoy a free tea or coffee and speak directly with professionals – getting help with issues like damp and mould, quitting smoking, improving digital skills, and finding out what support is available in the local area.
Who will be at the roadshow?
Knowsley Council Environmental Health – Supports residents with housing-related issues such as damp, mould, overcrowding, and disrepair. Offers advice and enforcement to improve living conditions and health outcomes.
Knowsley Council Digital Officers – Support residents to get online by promoting digital schemes, helping people overcome barriers such as lack of skills, devices, or internet access, and signposting to groups, activities, and events in local libraries.
NHS Digital Inclusion Specialists – These specialists help residents access online health and care services. They support people who may lack the skills, confidence, or equipment to get online, offering guidance, training, and signposting to resources.
Smoke Free Knowsley – Provide free support to help residents quit smoking. Services include one-to-one advice, nicotine replacement therapies, and links to wider health initiatives.
Livv Housing and ForHousing Advisors – Offer tenancy advice, financial wellbeing, repairs, and community engagement. Signpost to additional services.
Healthwatch Knowsley – Independent champion for people using health and social care services. Gathers feedback to influence service improvements and provides signposting to local support.
Healthy Knowsley Service – provides free, confidential support to help residents improve their health and wellbeing. Delivered by Merseycare NHS Foundation Trust, the service offers one-to-one or group sessions covering areas such as healthy eating, physical activity, stopping smoking, reducing alcohol intake, managing stress, and improving sleep. It’s available to anyone aged 18+ living in Knowsley or registered with a Knowsley GP. Healthy Knowsley Service :: Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust
Volair – offers the largest range of health & fitness facilities, gyms, swimming pools and sports activities in Knowsley
Knowsley’s Recycling Engagement Team – residents will be able to recycle their vapes, batteries, textiles and small electrical items.
Citizens Advice – to offer free, practical advice on a range of housing issues.
Knowsley’s Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods Cllr Shelley Powell said:
