Have you considered Knowsley Register Office for your ceremony?

by Laura Johnston

If you’re planning a ceremony (wedding, civil partnership, renewal of vows, citizenship or naming ceremony) have you considered Knowsley Register Office based in Prescot?

Located in the heart of the town centre on High Street, Knowsley Register Office provides a range of rooms as well as the outdoor gazebo located in beautifully maintained gardens.

The Priestcote Room is full of character with wood panelling and high ceilings and can seat up to 50 guests.

The garden gazebo, set in the grounds of the Register Office and within a private, walled garden is surrounded by attractive floral displays.

A smaller ceremony room available is available that seats up to 10 people.

Knowsley Register Office is located in a building which was built by Prescot Urban District Council as its Town Hall and council offices in 1936.  It has a Neo Georgian style that was a popular style for civic buildings in the 1920s and 30s.  A key feature of the building’s entrance is an ashlar doorcase with a semi-circular fanlight, bearing the year of the building’s construction in 1936.

Cllr Jayne Aston, Cabinet Member for Resources, said “Our friendly and professional staff are on-hand to offer advice and support for your big day. The Register Office is set in the heart of the historic town of Prescot and I’d encourage you to consider the Register Office for your ceremony. Our staff would be pleased to show you around.”
