Green fingered volunteers needed at the Age UK Roby Hub

by KMBC

Following on from the renovation of its outdoor space in September last year, the Age Uk Mid Mersey Roby Hub are looking to recruit volunteers to join a new Gardening Club with the aim of maintaining and enhancing the space for members of the community to enjoy.

The outdoor space features raised planting beds, a sensory garden and pond. Swanside Councillors Cllr Graham Morgan, Cllr Colin Dever and Cllr Christine Bannon recently donated wetland resources to improve the aquatic habitat and encourage new pond life coming into the spring.

Yvonne Rea, Community Project Leader at the Age UK Mid Mersey Roby Hub said:

“Spring is in the air and we’re really ramping up the outdoor activities at the hub. This includes recruiting willing volunteers to help us make the most of our outdoor space.

Regardless of your level of experience, if you enjoy getting your hands dirty and working in the outdoors we’d love you to get involved.”
