Home Coronavirus: Help and support Going blue for ME Awareness Week

Going blue for ME Awareness Week

by Laura Johnston

Two Knowsley landmarks went blue recently, to support Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) Awareness Week, which ran from Monday, 7 May until Sunday, 13 May 2018.

The council supported the ME Association’s campaign by illuminating (in blue) Greystone Bridge and the Knowsley Leisure and Culture Park wall by the main entrance.

The idea around “going blue” is that the illness is invisible and people can’t see how you feel. Colouring in the illness highlights the impact it has on others.

You can read more about ME and the work of the ME Association on their website.
