Smokers in Knowsley are being encouraged to give up smoking as part of a month long campaign, starting on 1 October.
If you’ve been thinking of giving up smoking but not got around to it, there’s a range of support available from Knowsley Stop Smoking Service.
During October Knowsley’s Stop Smoking team will take a pop-up stand around the borough where you can speak to trained advisors and get a free CO screening check.
You CAN quit for good, with the right support
Research shows smokers are four times more likely to quit for good with expert advice, support and medication on prescription.
It’s never too late to quit and no matter how long you’ve smoked, quitting can reduce your chances of developing cancer and other smoking related illnesses.
Some of the benefits are almost immediate and include improved energy and breathing, along with a better bank balance!
Knowsley Stop Smoking Service provides support online, over the phone and via text, help to stop smoking is also available from your local Knowsley pharmacy.

The Stop Smoking Service advisors will be at the following locations:
Tuesday 1 October, Nisa Stockbridge village, 12pm to 2pm.
Thursday 3 October, Huyton Town centre, 11.30am to 3pm.
Thursday 10 October, Asda, Huyton 10am to 3pm.
Wednesday 16 October Whiston Hospital, 11.30am to 2.30pm.
