Are you aged 16 to 19, currently not in education, employment or training and want to learn new skills to boost your job prospects? With Youth Mutual’s Achieve Programme, you can receive nationally recognised awards and qualifications, and will receive support in your search for work.
The programme aims to develop your personal and social skills such as skills in leadership and teamwork. By working in small groups and participating in group activities, you will build on these skills and gain confidence. You will also have the opportunity to create and manage your own enterprise project, and get an insight into business.
As well as gaining transferable skills needed for employment, you will also learn new life skills and improve what you already know. In these fun and interactive sessions, you will be taught how to manage money effectively, keep healthy, maintain an active lifestyle and stay safe.
You will also receive support in preparing for work such as learning how to create a stand-out CV, excel at interviews and recognise your skills and talents.
Completing the eight week programme and attending three days a week will earn you qualifications from Entry Level 3 up to Level 2 in Personal Social Development and Employability Skills (PSD). You also have the opportunity to gain nationally accredited qualifications in a range of outdoor activities such as kayaking and sailing.
