Community groups keen to learn more about climate change and increase their ‘carbon literacy’ are invited to a free training event in Huyton on Wednesday, 6th November.
One Knowsley, in partnership with environmental consultancy Ridge, are hosting a carbon literacy workshop for local community groups from 10am – 12.30pm at The Courtyard, Court Hey Park, Huyton L16 3NA.
This programme is designed to empower local communities with the knowledge and confidence to tackle climate change.
The workshop will cover key content such as:
- What is carbon literacy?
- Effects of climate change
- The global and local context
- Carbon myth-busting
- Our Influence
The session is aimed at enhancing participants’ understanding of the human impact on climate change, as well as increasing their confidence when discussing decarbonisation and climate change issues. They will also be able to identify basic climate change misinformation and apply their knowledge to real-world decision-making.
