Hundreds of people came along to the first Huyton Live Event on Friday, 28 June 2019.
Huyton Live builds on the success of last year’s Foodie Friday events and offer great street food, drinks, live entertainment as well as craft stalls selling unique, handcrafted goods.
The crowds flocked into the village centre for this family-friendly event with further dates now secured for Friday, 26 July, Friday, 30 August and Friday, 27 September from 4.30pm until 8.30pm.
A varied food offering
Street food traders included Bexleys (BBQ), Sweet Temptations, Perfect Samosas, Steph’s Kitchen (soups and hotpots) and Wild About Food (exotic meats) – all operate locally across the Liverpool City Region. There was also a fresh lemonade stand and Melwood Brewery with entertainment also provided by local artists.
Councillor Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, said “I was delighted to see so many turn out and support this local event. Huyton Live offers an opportunity for family, friends and work colleagues to come together and socialise. I hope that other businesses and residents support the other events planned to make this a regular event.”
