Hot Curl Pilates opens in Kirkby

by Jonathan Kearney

Another business has opened doors in Kirkby town centre this month.

Hot Curl Pilates (fitness facilities and classes) is located at 12 Telegraph Way and officially opened on 6 October 2025.

Owner of Hot Curl Pilates, Elizabeth Ball, said: “I’m thrilled to be opening in Kirkby town centre! Having grown up in the area and been shaped by my local dance team in Southdene, it feels incredible to give back to the community that raised me and to make this my hometown business.

“I chose Kirkby because of its people — the strong sense of community, the friendliness, the hard work, and the down-to-earth spirit that makes this place so special.

“My goal is to create a space where everyone can come together, let go, and do something that’s good for them — both mentally and physically. I want this to be a fun, vibrant, and welcoming place for the whole community to enjoy.”

“We’re proud to be the first studio in Liverpool to offer both instructor-led and on-demand reformer classes, making reformer Pilates more accessible than ever. Now, everyone has the chance to experience its incredible benefits.”

Hot Curls Pilates offers a range of activities and classes to suit all interests and abilities, from beginner classes, mat pilates, dynamic reformer, meditation and a tailored men’s reformer class.

There’s also a specialist programme for younger people aged 13 and over and some special deals too including a 4, 8 and 12 class pass as well as a pay as you go option.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development added: “I’m delighted to welcome Hot Curls Pilates to Kirkby.

“It’s great to see new businesses choosing to call Kirkby their home.

“We remain committed to developing Kirkby and ensuring there is a varied offer in the town and we continue to actively promote Kirkby’s fantastic location to businesses.

“We have already delivered a retail development, transformed the multi-storey car park into a sustainable travel hub, and new, high-quality homes are also planned for the town.

“Also, the Kirkby Neighbourhood Board is developing a Regeneration Plan for Kirkby, as part of the Government’s Plan for Neighbourhood programme, which will address the priority issues for local residents over the next 10 years.

“It really is an exciting time to be part of Kirkby’s transformation journey and I look forward to seeing Hot Curls Pilates opening their doors very soon.”
