Children aged 8 and over will have the chance to embark on exciting journeys of discovery through Ancient Egypt, historic Asia, the Amazon rainforest and even beneath the ocean, thanks to a new virtual reality project in Knowsley libraries.
Taking place during the May half term, the Open a Book, Open the World VR project will give children the opportunity to experience immersive learning linked to books and library resources.
The project aims to encourage deeper learning and exploration, helping to attract new users, re-engage lapsed visitors, and showcase libraries as vibrant spaces for imagination, learning and connection.
Sessions will take place at:
- Kirkby Library – Wednesday 27 May, 2–4pm
- Huyton Library – Thursday 28 May, 2–4pm
- Halewood Library – Friday 29 May, 2–4pm
