Eccleston Street Improvements

by Lisa Bennett

Knowsley Council recently secured funding to improve transport connections in Prescot town centre, making it an even more attractive place for people to visit, spend time and to support business investment.

The funding will contribute towards major upgrades to Prescot train station which will include a remodelled car park and additional lifts in the train station, together with new pedestrian/cycle facilities and wayfinding signage between the station and town centre.

The first phase of the improvements will be the transformation of Eccleston Street and will involve the renewal of the current paving with high quality materials, upgrades to street furniture and improved access for pedestrians.
