Donations needed – Knowsley Foodbank

by KMBC

Knowsley Foodbank supports residents in crisis by providing three days’ emergency food and support.

How Knowsley Foodbank helps Knowsley people in crisis

Knowsley people who are in crisis can apply for a Foodbank voucher from many frontline services such as Citizens Advice, welfare advice centres, school and health care professionals. They present the voucher to a distribution centre (there are ten located across the borough) and are given three days’ worth of food for themselves and their family. They will also receive toiletries and sanitary products when available.

What is needed

Over 90% of the food distributed by Knowsley Foodbank is donated by the public. Stocks are running low and donations are once again needed for:

  • UHT milk
  • Bottles of fruit squash/Juice
  • Instant coffee
  • Jars of pasta sauce
  • Tinned fruit
  • Biscuits
  • Breakfast cereals
  • Tinned rice pudding/custard
  • Tinned potatoes
  • Tinned meat/fish

You can drop off any donations at Tesco, Cables Retail Park, Prescot (front of store) or at various locations across Knowsley, including Link Rd, Huyton.
