Donate your unwanted wooden furniture

by Laura Johnston

If you’re having a festive furniture clear out, a Stockbridge upcycling project may be able to help.

Organisers of an upcycling project run by Knowsley Council’s Adult Disability Service Day Centre in Stockbridge Village are appealing for donations of unwanted wooden furniture to be given a new lease of life.

Day centre service users are developing valuable upcycling skills refurbishing unwanted furniture and other household goods, but they need more items to work on. They’re on the lookout for any wooden items – none with a manmade plastic finish – including chairs, tables, and cabinets, with or without drawers. They’re unable to take large items such as beds or sofas.

Centre staff can arrange collection of items. Please ring Mike Brown on 0151 443 2760 to arrange a pick up appointment, usually between 10am and 3pm, Monday to Friday.
