Staff working on two of Knowsley’s busiest industrial parks will be able to get their COVID-19 jabs next week when the vaccination bus visits the area.
Since the launch of the vaccine programme, Knowsley Council and local NHS services, have worked with a number of employers to provide on site clinics for staff. The clinics have been very successful with many employees finding it easy and convenient to get their jab.
The offer is now being rolled out wider with the vaccine bus visiting large employment areas and administering jabs to all staff and visitors.
The bus will visit:
Tuesday 8 February – North Mersey Business Centre, Kirkby Industrial Park, L33 7SY.
Wednesday 9 February – North Mersey Business Centre, Kirkby Industrial Park, L33 7SY.
Thursday 10 February – Chums – Knowsley Business Park, L34 9AR
Friday 11 February – Chums – Knowsley Business Park, L34 9AR
The bus is open 10am-3pm. No appointment is needed.
The COVID-19 vaccination offers you the best protection from the virus and reduces your chances of getting seriously sick.
With cases of COVID-19 remaining high in the borough, it is vital that we all take steps to protect ourselves and those around us. By getting vaccinated, you are also doing your bit to protect our local NHS services.
Cllr Christine Bannon, Cabinet Member for Health, said: “We know that providing convenience is an important factor for many when getting the COVID-19 vaccine and our previous workplace clinics have been very successful.
“By bringing the vaccination bus to our busiest business parks, we can make sure that everyone who lives and works in Knowsley has access to the COVID-19 vaccination.
“I urge anyone who is yet to get their COVID-19 vaccine or requires a second or booster does to visit the bus.”
